The Mission

To serve as an umbrella organization to complement existing Japanese and Japanese American organizations. Its primary mission is to work in harmony with the community, and we will give any support to its member organizations toward accomplishing our collective missions.

CJAC serve as an umbrella organization to assist, coordinate, and sponsor activities and programs of its member organizations. We are hosting programs that promote traditional Japanese cultural awareness including the Chicago Japan Festival, Day of Remembrance, Memorial Day, Lunar New Year Celebration, and Japanese Community Picnic.

シカゴ日米評議会の役割

既存のメンバー組織の目的、既存の日系、日系アメリカ人の組織を保管する包括的な組織として支援する事、その主な使命はコミュニティーと調和して働き、メンバー組織が集合的な使命を達成する為に後方支援を提供する事です。CJACはメンバー組織間の活動やプログラムを支援、調整、後援する支える組織として機能しています。毎年、日本伝統文化啓発のシカゴ日本祭りの開催をメンバー全組織で執り行ないます。その他には追悼の日、戦没者追悼記念日、旧正月のお祝い、そして日系人の総合ピクニックを支援しております。
